Excellent book. I learned so much as I was working through this with my class, much of it things I could employ immediately for the volunteer work, personal goals, and school work I do.My one complaint is not about the book itself but about the testing material Pearson provides to professors to accompany the text. It's a hot mess and no mistake. Probably 1/3 of the Pearson-provided test answers directly contradicted what was said in the text. Further, the questions sometimes depended on statistic numbers from previous editions of the text to understand precisely what was being asked. When it asks which is the correct number and the number isn't on the list or even close, it's pure guesswork. My instructor eventually chose to comp the entire class over a letter grade in quiz points for the class.
What surprised me about this book is how genuinely interesting it is, outside of being a Communication major required book in college. It's one of few textbooks I've kept over the years, and one day I want to go back and re-read some of the chapters. It's well written and has a way of captivating your attention. There are very little school-required textbooks that can claim the same.
Although this is a great book, it's unfortunate that the author didn't think to make it available to everyone? You could really open a door to the visually impaired if it was TTS. Leads me to say there are great alternatives to this book.
When I received it it didn’t come in book form, just hole punched. You can put it in a binder or whatever you choose to do with it. It’s a great PR book. A lot to learn from it.

I was required to purchase this textbook for a PR class and it proved to be very helpful. There are clear, relatable examples that have made the learning process easier. It felt more like a reference guide than a textbook.
All the highlighting and notes you can add in with the Kindle app in digital version is awesome.
