Always good the see behind the scenes and see the process an author goes through to make his final product, and in this case nothing gets much better than a final product that has Tolkien's name on it.
I call this the Tolkien bible because that is really the size shape and texture of this book. It has the thin bible print pages and it is still really substantial. Gave this book and a gift and it arrive in terrific condition and was extremely well received.

For those who want all of these histories and extra stories under one cover (more or less!), these three volumes are wonderful! They arrived promptly and in great condition. No problems.
