GSD Platform 2 is an abstract of the quality and creativity of student's work. It is a good book to have as reference as well as for those who want to come to GSD to study architecture and urban planning and have an understanding of their pedagogy.Portfolio: for undergraduates and graduate students alike, GSD Platform 2 can also be used as a reference in laying out a portfolio, using diagrams and renderings as inspiration for your own.
Taking off the previous volume, Platform 2 again features work, lectures and material poured forth from the hallowed Harvard studios of the GSD. Like most such outpourings there are compelling provocations as well as pure nonsense. Both are worth considering though. My only disappointment is so many of the projects fail to receive sufficient space to fully explain (or event attempt to explain at all) the story behind them - thus perpetuating the field's obsession with visual representation at the subordination of substantive thought.
