I'm planning a 30-day car camping trip through the Canadian Rockies. I originally go this book when I was in the "I"m road tripping through Canada but don't actually know anything about Canada" phase of planning and it was perfect! I was pretty ignorant and didn't realize how big Canada is! This book breaks Canada into sections which helps narrow down where to go based on your interest and what you are looking for. It was clear that I was only really interested in Alberta and British Columbia on this trip, so I will only be using 2 sections of the travel guide for this trip. Enough info to get me started planning though. I love that the list of accommodations for each place includes camping and hostels!
Decided to give this a try over Lonely Planet. Content is pretty similar though I prefer LP formatting. As another mentioned, the text is very small (and my vision is fine) and the font weight is very light in some places making it hard to read.
This is one of the most comprehensive guides. As a born Canadian going back with my husband to vacation and see all that Canada has to offer this is a "Great" choice!!
Very good for ones who would visit canada first.!!!
